IFAM products continue to make headway in the Mexican market. In increasing demand among the ironmonger-locksmith sector of that country, they have recently been showcased at three trade fairs. IFAM has partcipated in: ExpoCerrajera (ExpoTransponder) in June, the 2nd International Locksmith and ADUPAC (Association of Locksmith Product Distributors) Programming Expo in July and ExpoFerretera (ironmonger sector) in September.

IFAM’s participation in these three events reiterated sector interest in the brand. “In general, customers point out that the quality of IFAM products stands out from the competition in the Mexican market. The fact that it is a European manufacturer is an additional guarantee to the wide range of products that it offers”, explains Óscar Buenrostro, sales manager of the IFAM brand in Mexico.

This interest was especially evident at the fair ExpoFerretera, held from 7th – 9th September in Guadalajara. In this event, the industrial safety range was in particular demand. “Industrial consignment products, known as lockout-tagout, have witnessed growing demand in our country. IFAM has the advantage of offering a very wide catalogue of solutions to block all types of machinery and that resulted in numerous contacts and business opportunities at the fair” adds Buenrostro.

In contrast, motorcycle anti-theft devices were protagonists at the 2nd International Locksmith and ADUPAC (Association of Locksmith Product Distributors) Programming Expo, held in Mexico City at the beginning of July. This event is very much focused on automotive locking devices. Undoubtedly, the large number of innovations introduced in the IFAM catalogue of motorbike and bicycle locks in 2017 caused many visitors to ask for them, especially interested in their quality.

The range of IFAM locking devices took centre stage at ExpoCerrajera (Guadalajara, June 24-25). According to Óscar Buenrostro, “IFAM’s cylinders, locks, rim locks and padlocks are perceived in the market as an alternative solution to top price range products. That is our key strength and what is opening more and more doors for us.
