IFAM has just launched its new ‘Industrial Safety Catalogue CL.01′ which includes the wide range of lockout-tagout products the brand offers to prevent workplace accidents while doing maintenance and repair on industrial equipment and machines. Lockout-tagout, also known as LOTO, is a practice growing in use internationally in the field of workplace risk prevention. It’s estimated that there are three million people around the world who do maintenance and repair in the industrial sector and are, consequently, potential users of these devices.

Interesting new products in several of the industrial safety product lines are presented in the catalogue. For example, in LOTO padlocks, the inclusion of the SF40 Cable padlock is noteworthy. Its shackle made of stainless steel braided cable makes this padlock perfect for machines and equipment where there is little room for locking the machine’s power sources and moving parts.

Regarding lockout hasps, IFAM is presenting the new Multiple hasp for 14 padlocks. This device is intended for teams made up of several maintenance and repair workers. The Multiple hasp for 14 padlocks stays locked until the last worker removes their padlock, keeping the machine or equipment it protects from accidentally starting.

A new product line: air/gas lockouts

Another line that is growing is the electric lockout line. We would like to mention the Multipolar circuit breaker lockout, which is being presented as another alternative in the long list of options IFAM provides for immobilising thermal- magnetic switches in an electrical cabinet or box.

For valve lockouts, two new models are included in the Lockouts for quarter turn valves. Specifically, they are the B1 and B2 models, whose metal structure locks levers for those kinds of valves when they are in the closed position.

Additionally, the recently launched IFAM Industrial Safety and Security Catalogue shows a new line of lockout-tagout devices, the air/gas lockouts, that has been added. There are two models in this newly formed family. The Pressurised gas bottles lockout and the 25 mm/35 mm gas/air valve lockout.
